Our beliefs are created and internalized by our real world experiences. Our strongest beliefs are connected to our strongest emotions, such as issues about survival.
Our values are reflected in our beliefs but not clearly or precisely. We may settle for something less than ideal when our values are actually incorporated into our belief system. Ambiguities and rationalizations water down our beliefs and make them impotent.
How to get clear on exactly what you believe If you can't decide what you truly believe ask yourself the question: "Is this belief worth fighting for."
Chose one of these answers: 1) Yes - I believe in this. 2) No - I don't really believe in this. 3) Maybe - I wish I did believe in this.
